The Mount Pleasant Business Association and Friends of Mt. Pleasant Library invite your school to participate in the Ninth Annual Youth Arts Fair. The fair is an excting event that engages youth in our community through the arts and gives student artists an opportunity to exhibit their talents in a public space.

Deadline for submission April 11

* Each school program may submit 7 works of art
* Entries by individuals are preferred. (provide name, grade, school)
* Artwork should be mounted or framed
* All works will remain on display from May 7 - June 1, 2008
* Judges will evalutate each work using the following criteria:
- Use of theme
- Creativity & imagination
- Effort and skill

THEME: Beer Tasting, TBD

Mt. Pleasant Mainstreet, the Mt. Pleasant Business Association, and BB&T are partnering to sponsor the 2008 Mt. Pleasant Films in the Park Series.

Movies will be held every second Saturday evening in June, July and August in Lamont Street Park, with the first showing on June 14th. The films will be FREE and fun for the entire family, with subtitles in Spanish for films in English (and vice versa for films in Spanish).
