The Green Team is part of the Columbia Heights Shaw Family Support Collaborative. It first started working in Mount Pleasant through a 2009/2010 grant to MPMS through Councilmember Jim Graham's office. The Green Team provides regular clean-up and landscaping services, tree box maintenance and graffiti removal along the commercial corridor of Mount Pleasant Street and in Lamont Park.

MPMS will partner again with the Green Team in 2010/2011 which will include gum busting services to remove tar and gum from sidewalks along Mount Pleasant Street and store fronts.
